Who am I?

Hello, my name is Kacie and I am 22 years old. I recently, and by recently I mean today, got my first teaching job. I was hired as a 2nd grade teacher! But first, I have to graduate. I am currently attending Sam Houston State University and am graduating on December 16th. My last official day of classes is December 8th and I start teaching December 9th! Can you say soon? I am more than excited. I am also VERY grateful to have a job so soon after (before!) I graduate. Many of my fellow classmates still do not even have a substitute offer, so I know how lucky I am.
I recently married on March 13, 2011. My husband is also a teacher for the same school district. He teaches high school agriculture. I have no children (yet!) and I have two dogs, who are treated like my babies.
Although I know, no one will probably read this, I'm going to write anyway, hopefully as much as I can. I feel this will be a good way to record things that are going on and it's something that can be looked back on. I love to bake, cook, sew, and really do anything that is crafty. I love to decorate for the holidays, and I love pinterest. Anyway, for my first post, I'll post what's for dinner! This is something I created on my own with a little inspiration from things that I have seen.

Creamy Baked Alfredo Macaroni and Cheese
1 pkg. pasta (I used penne pasta)
1 jar of alfredo sauce (I only used this to be quick! I'd usually make it)
Grated parmesan cheese
Sour cream, about 4 tablespoons
Shredded mozzerella
Shredded cheddar cheese

Bring water to a boil and add pasta. Cook to pkg. directions.
Drain and return to pot
Add alfredo sause, some parmesan (your discretion on how much), and sour cream. Mix well.
Add about a cup of mozzerella cheese and mix until melted
Spread into baking dish (about a 9 x 13)
Top with cheddar cheese
Bake at 350 for 15 minutes

There it is. It is absolutely delishious, and probably unhealthy. But, sometimes, that's okay.

First post.

Well, I've never blogged before today. Ever. I've never really seen the need in it. I still don't quite get the whole thing, but I made this blog so I could "follow" my many blogs I read. I finally got tired of just "bookmarking" them. I guess this will keep it organized, in the least.
